I know it costs more but the govt controls sugar

It goes something like the sweeteners used in soda no is corn based not suger.  
the govt is putting limitation on the amount of sugar we can import to use corn from the us. also the tax on sugar is sky high

I am sure someone more educated or versed in this can chime in and give there .02
