# Peterborough Speedway Drift event??

I was speaking with the guys a Perterborough Speedway to see if they would be interested in doing a drift event. The owner seemed very positive about the idea but was wondering how much interest we can generate.
So I’m checking here and some other boards to see if anyone would be willing to participate. I will find out more details on any costs and such this week (I’m thinking early in the season on a weekend). For now lets just start a list for interested members.
Any feedback is also welcome.

Ok, here is the day we are shooting for
Sunday May 6th
Cost will be $50.00 at the very most, I will know the cost for sure shortly but it will NOT be more than $50.00 (April 28th due date)
Admission for spectators is $14.00
I would like to start the event at approx. 11am (this will give everyone lots of time to get up here and set their car up) Session should wrap up about 5pm.
I am going to try to have a bbq with hot dogs/ hamburgers and some cold drinks for the drivers.
Please put your name on the list if you are interested (name + user name) and if you are driving or spectating

ovals are hard to drift around if your riding the banks.

^^ iirc the peterbrough speedway is where house of drift hosted their event.
the montreal guys like team automotion, there was a vid that was posted on here by 2G-Money.
im relying on memory from 1/2 a year ago, so i may be incorrect.

Yep it’s an oval, the house of drift was at Kawartha Speedway (very similar tracks)

Sounds niiiice. Drifting ovals is fun (well riding with a pro, so that was fun)
Thats right, we did the House of Drift Demo at Kawartha on Sept 29. I have to apologize for the lack of notice and promotion on that one. It was a really sick demo but they gave the green lights with 3 days to the event, so it was mostly a local crowd of 1500.
This year, we are doing it big out there and using the infield. So hope SON is there to hold it down and chase of the the cash purse :-o

Maybe ill come and watch …i dont think ide be very good at drifting this type of track yet not enough practice…ide love to do it one day though :(!
