hhaha! i like the old school too. we just changed our jerseys and got rid of the jagged numbers, so why didnt they release the logo then? it does look like a dog. lol…with a mullet. guess i need to get to the store and buy some new stuff ---

ehh… its ok kinda reminds me of when the pens changed their logo. It’s not bad, it just seems like it was not necessary. ---

it probly has nothing to do withh pennstate, really. penn state is very plain (not that that is bad) and pitt made their uniforms pretty bold when the redesigned awhile back and its still bolder than PSU is. i think the new logo was needed with the change of the uniforms, like i said. since the numbers and writing isnt as jagged anymore, it only makes sense to get a smoother logo. just think they couldve made it look more like a panther. ---

Thus why they would make a minor change one year and another minor one shortly thereafter. The successful programs with large fan bases don’t need to play with such gimmicks. ---

Actually it is a gimmick and a weak attempt at that. Maybe they should focus more on the programs than ‘how smooth the logo is’ and ‘how easy it is to reproduce’. It’s worthless if the team sucks…why not just move pitt to cleveland and call them the mini bears. I totally agree that old school is the way to go. ---

The whole flip flopping back and forth from Pitt to Pittsburgh back to Pitt is all a gimmick trying to sell a rather inferior product which obviously has not been working very well as the only time they can sell out the damn stadium is when they bring in an opponent with a fan following either large enough to have fans in the area or loyal enough to make the trip. Out of cursiousity for the Pitt alums, does it take much for a Pitt student to get a student ticket? ---
