The successful programs with large fan bases don’t need to play with such gimmicks. actually the recent jersey changes were made because they had all said ‘PITTSBURGH’ on them and the school felt that they should go back to focusing on the wording of ‘PITT’ that its become more known for. and i think the updated logo this year is just a follow-up to suit the style of the less-jagged look. not really a gimmick. and you act like teams like OSU, Miami, Notre Damn etc dont have alternate jerseys and other things that they release here and there. --- _[View the full topic](https://forums.speedlife.net/t/pitt-gets-a-new-logo/190658)._
