the sae-30 rotella t is the only rotella oil with the zinc and shit in it… 15w40 is no more. just foumd this out today. ---

I used a break in additive that came with my cams after I put the motor all back togehter… Ive heard some people say a breakin in additive is necessary for a prolonged life and others say otherwise. I’d honestly use it, better safe than sorry Anyways I revved my car to 3500rpms for a good 30-45 mins… Dropped the oil put soem more reguluar napa 5w30 in drove about 400miles… drained and continued with amsoil I put close to 10k on my car this year… And i do anything but drive easy, that car has been beaten on pretty bad, even more than I did last year when it was N/A and I really dident give a fuck Now if onyl break in additives worked on the rear end mount :ponder BTW af ew cam insturctions I see all say to rev at 1.5-2k for 30 mins… but at least on a lifter setup… The break in is better at a higher RPM as it helps wear in the tops of the lobes better ---

I broke my motor in my beating the balls off it starting at 250 miles on the dot 30k and cammed later, its running strong. ---

Sorry I dident clarify… Im saying ive heard some say u dont need it… I’d personaly use it, dident know you could use rotella thou, deff going to use that next time I ahve to break soemthing in thou well I let it get to temp and run at 2 grand for about 15 mins or so then the remaining time about 25 mins or so was run at 3500 ---

Well the longer break in was more for the cams… if it was all back to stock I woulda just ran her at 2 grand for 20 mins or so and went on my way but people have had reground cams (the only offer regrinds) have the top of the lobes chip a bit… Wanted to break in the tops of em a little more and make sure they dident chip before i started driving the car hard ---
