I have a Marantz VC5200 DVD changer and am having problems with movies and cds skipping. I was wondering if anywhere around amherst is able to fix these. I am willing to spend the money on it b/c it is an amazing player and if it’s cheaper to fix it than buy a new one, then i will be getting it repaired. ---

Needs a new optical pickup (laser),don’t bother taking it apart. It will probably cost $130-$150 to repair,with parts and labor.Its actually a easy DIY if you can get the part. ---

Here is the thing. I think most marantz dvd players carry a 3 year warranty,this is a 2006 model.If you can provide a receipt I think it can be fixed under warranty. ---
