> When Hugh Hefner launched _Playboy_ back in the 50s, he hired a photographer to shoot two nude women in 3D. But the price of bundling anaglyph glasses with the magazine was too high. This week, Hef’s dream becomes reality. In an effort to bolster low readership, the June edition of _Playboy_, on newsstands this week, will feature centerfold [Hope Dworaczyk](http://gizmodo.com/tag/hopedworaczyk/) in good old fashioned blue and red ([anaglyph](http://gizmodo.com/5084121/giz-explains-3d-technologies)) 3D. And if you unfocus your eyes in just the right way, her skin tone may match that of any proud Pandora resident.
> Hefner, not himself a fan of the new wave of 3D movies, frames _Playboy_'s role amidst the Avatar effect simply: “What would people most like to see in 3D?..Probably a naked lady.”

Maybe the should show more hot broads instead of resorting to the 3d gimmick. For every page of boobs, there’s 10 pages of ads and 10 pages of crappy editorial bs.

Playboy somehow manages to show everything, yet absolutely nothing.

Agreed with the editorial bs, but as for the ads, how do you expect them too make money with lacking sales?
