# Police Laser

Can you avoid it?
It seems like they actually shoot it at cars. Does it need to hit a specific spot or can it bounce off of anything?
Also, if you are driving and see a cop who might not have hit you yet, can you duck and hide from it in another lane?

You can not beat laser… by the time your detector goes off he already has a reading.

Correct me if im wrong but dont they aim the laser at the tags? Or some other reflective part? Wont the smoke covers or clear plate covers somewhat inhibit the lasers ability to get a good exact reading?

pretty sure the cop shooting the laser will know your jamming if he can’t get a reading, and I’m pretty sure thats illegal. I know on the escort x85 or w/e it says laser when your hit, your basically screwed at that point. no warning.

I can see there is no way to jam a laser but I am curious if its possible to avoid it and dodge it.
Curious how accurate the cop needs to be at shooting it before he gets a reading or can he basically aim at your lane and get a reading.

they have to sight through an aimer, you cant move fast enough they can read you easily @ 600 ft and which is nearly 2 times nearer then radar but with the pin point beam theres no mistake he sees you hes got you. if you start swerving around youre going to get reckless driving too., if you can see him its too late no dodging.

“The beam of a laser gun is easily aimed at a traveling vehicle, such as yours, and scanned across the front grille area at a typical 400 to 600 feet. At those distances, the laser beam is about 12” to 22" wide, depending on manufacturer of the laser gun. Even if you had an excellent radar detector up in the windshield, it probably would not detect the laser beam down on the front grille of your vehicle, due to how narrow the beam is. And if your radar detector did alert, remember the laser beam is pointing at you only, thus your laser alert means the policemena already has your speed."

If they are using laser and your speeding your fucked. Its impossible to miss the vehicle and you only have 2 tenth’s of a second to slow down. So your screwed.

If you’re lucky, you can pick up a scatter of laser with a good detector like the V1. It doesn’t scatter nearly as much as regular radar though, so don’t count on it…
A good jammer does work and is legal.

You may be lucky and catch a careening beam off of someone else’s car, otherwise you are pretty much boned. The response time on the gun is \<1 second.
