acting like me? Having a decent car, a decent house, and leaving my managerial position at a huge hotel in a huge resort town to start my own business. Yep, I’m a real slacker stoner that is a burden on society. No ambition here.

i dont have a problem with the statistics Jon posted, just the conclusions and assumptions he’s making from them.

What does that statistic really show you? Its not like they committed the crime BECAUSE they were high on pot. Everyone from politicians to doctors to pimps and whores use pot.

They still are drug users Mike. What is your point?

Theres a good chance it would decrese. Do you think legalizing it woul make the crime rate go down?

Exactly my point, they are high and engaging in an illegal activity. So if we legalize weed, should we then release all inmate that were locked up for possesion of it?

It must just be a coincidence that they were not in thier right mind at the time of their offense?

Going by your logic, we should also lift the driving while under the influence of alcohol law? 65% of fatal car accidents are alcohol related. Its not like they wrecked and killed someone BECAUSE they were drunk. I mean, its merely coincidence that they were drunk and wrecked their car, right?

You’ve smoked pot. Did you have an urge to go commit a crime when you were high on it? Of course not. Its because peoples stupidity makes them commit crimes, not marijuana.

> Theres a good chance it would decrese. Do you think legalizing it woul make the crime rate go down?

I dont think it would really change that much. I dont believe that if it were made legal, there would be that much of an increase in use. I also dont see marijuana causing crime, outside of the gang crime/dealer crime that comes with any black market type dealings.

> Exactly my point, they are high and engaging in an illegal activity. So if we legalize weed, should we then release all inmate that were locked up for possesion of it?

I have no problem releasing non-violent marijuana offenders from prison.

oh stop it. Marijuana is not PCP. You dont get high and lose all sense of reality. You get high, you become relaxed, lazy, and hungry. You want to watch cartoons, not rob liquor stores.

violent crime is not a result of marijuana use like DUI crashes are a result of alcohol use.

If you do nothing but become “relaxed, lazy and hungry” then why are almost 50% of the male arrestees getting pulled off the streets by cops?
