But it weighs 700# more then a Z06, and has less power then a Z06… so, R&T has either broken the fabric of spacetime, or your view of the world is wrong.

I doubt that the ZR1 will handle that much better than the Z06.

Can we at least agree that a ZR1 will be faster than a Z06? In the road test that poopra posted, the Z06 was a little bit faster. Hell, even call it equal since the GTR took it off the line and it didn’t catch up until the top end.
Therefore, there is no way that one can reasonably deduce that the GTR will be faster. Bing said regardless of handling, so i assume he means in a straight line, and in that case, is wrong.

I think the GTR is more suitable if you want a car for your Summer Ride and Track runner on occasion. As in, you drive it and enjoy it and stomp on it once in a while without fearing of breaking it. Don’t get me wrong this is defintely a powerful machine but is more of an _street_ car than the ZR1.
The ZR1 just seems like a badass wheeling machine that can’t be caged. Every Redlight will just pissed it off like a Bull ready to charge…

Is this supposed to be which one you would rather have if presented to you at no cost or which one will be faster? Because people are only debating about which will be faster and to be honest it shouldn’t have the deciding factor in the one you pick. I just picked the one i liked better and could care less if it gets smoked to be honest. Really if everyone on nyspeed only bought the car that would be the fastest thing in their budget there would be a ton more f-bods lol.

GTR…I am a Nissan fanboi and i like backseats and dont feel like crawling on my knees to get in and out of the car…i would so DD it in the winter too. I have driven paddle shift, it takes gettin used to but quite fun too.

I would love to see a zo6 with the zr1 brakes, a nice set of coil overs and a turbo 7L reving to 8K…🙂
Why on earth would you want back seats? That just means you would have to drive other people around in your car. Gay.
I would though take the Skyline as a Winter car.
Reason for the ZR-1:
Stupid fast top end
Light weight
Good handling (or easily made to be)
Super sexy looks
Resale value
After market following
Did I mention it doesn’t look like balls
Toque
True M6
Burn outs
Not worrying about braking 38 drive shafts
It will sound good with an intake and exhaust
Number one reason: Girls will pee themselves in it.

I picked zr1 because it seems to be more of a drivers car. I’m all for smg type transmissions but all of the electronic stuff in the gtr seems to be too much. The gtr also looks too big and heavy to be a proper sports car.
