# Poll: GTR or ZR1

But they’re never going to head-to-head the GTR and ZR1… only the Z06 because that’s it’s price / performance competitor. I’m sure someone will compare the Spec-V vs. ZR1, but that’s a ways off still.
Only Top Gear is crazy enough to compare cars outside of their class.
I believe the quote from the Stig is (not that he actually talks ON the show, but in the magazine) that he can _“beat ANY car around a track with the GTR.”_ That’s why they compared it to _Ferrari F430 Scuderia_;

I said it should be compared to the scuderia because it would be close even out of class, but if they really were to compare it to anything a koennigsig or coparo t1 would obliterate it.
Coparo t1: cost $350k like a scuderia
lateral cornering 3g’s
as well the zr1 will kill the gtr in braking: bigger brakes, bigger tires, lighter car.

and if GTRs are selling for 100k that does put them in the zr1 class over the zo6s class.

Obviously you all know which one I picked.There are a few reasons I’m Buying The Zr1 and these aren’t in any order.
Resale value.I think the car will hold it’s value very well.Look at a 2004 z06 CE(blue with the stripes)2000 made and while the price dipped like all new cars do, they are holding steady now.1996 Corvette GS approx 1000 made and lower mileage ones are now selling ABOVE what sticker was in 96.
The Ultimate version of the car you’ve always loved.Seeing how both parents worked at GM kind of obvious my favorite car growing up was the Vette.Now I have the chance to own what could be considered the best Vette ever.Can’t really put a price on that.To me anyways.
A chance that this might be the last “muscle car” With all these gas wars/Cafe and things like that who knows where the future of cars will go.
The WOW factory.It will be Awesome to have a car that people can appreciate and to some extent gawk over.Yeah people will probably say I have “small penis syndrome” but oh well.
100,000 mile Warranty.Enough said there.Also local Chevy dealers SHOULD be able to work on it.
And don’t worry when I get it I have no problem letting people drive it.It’s a car it’s made to be driven as long as you respect it.
As for The GTR,I can really respect what the car is and it is one heck of a car.I just don’t care for the looks of it at all.

Let me rephrase; The only comparisons you’ll ever see in magazines, etc. will be between the Z06 and the GTR, **NOT** the GTR and ZR1.
I wasn’t talking about the ZR1 when I made the _“same class”_ statement.
