You can bring your shit across the border lol, I dont like NY’s gun laws. I have keys to a private gravel pit in S. Wallingford VT I use, when the snow melts inside it thats where Ill be haha.

All those wheels and tires are for the three HHR SS’s that we’re racing in the next ~month. Gotta be legit going up against all the GT-R’s, and vipers, and corvettes, and Porsches, and oh yeah that fucking Ultima. If we can’t two wheel them around the corners we’re not having fun.

Per recommendations from a couple of guys on NICOClub who got the exact same kit, I pulled the trigger on a no-name brand of brake rotors and pads.

I wouldn’t call it skimping. Call it best bang for the buck. 9 guys on the forum are running the set and say they would buy them again. Some of those guys used ‘frozen’ (or cryo?) rotors which cost $140 per rotor and say those aren’t worth it.
Most expensive isn’t always the best. I ran Brembo blanks and KVR pads on my Maxima ($200 for the set) and they were better or on par with the full drilled/slotted Brembo rotors and Hawk HPS pads ($350+ for a set). Yet, the set was almost half the money.
Same deal with the Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires I’m running right now that are like $160/tire but out perform some of the $300 tires (Bridgestones, Goodyears, etc.) on Tirerack.
Thanks for your opinion though.

Yes and no. I do a lot of REALLY spirited driving on the back roads of Voorhesville/Coeymans (hence the warping of the OEM ones - they are terrible and weak for such a big car) but I’m sure I could have gone blank and been fine (as I had on the Maxima). I would have preferred just slotted, because I’ve heard issue of drilled rotors cracking…but like I said…these are highly recommended so I’ll give em a go. For the price, can’t beat it. If they work out, great. If not, then I’ll try something else.
