i knew a few people who joined at 17. sucks for them because its just that much longer until they can drink legally, and alot of the younger crowd gets in trouble for underage drinking when i was in. the 17-19 yr old’s mostly. by 20 they smartened up and wouldnt drink on duty, or on base, or attempt to come back to base drunk underage… i had a fun time one night filling out an underage drinking/DUI incident report. that morning when the CO came in, it was fun to explain to him that one of our members got returned to base by the sherrifs deputy, for drinking/driving underage… they didnt even give the kid time to sober up. he was standing infront of the entire squadron in his service dress blues at an “open” CO’s mast. …Fail. ---
