Larger tire to fill out the wheel well… A 215 tire is still fine, but a 225/45-17 is a little higher on the sidewall. I found out after ordering that a 225/45 is a little closer to 205/55-16 which I think is stock on a Mazda3? It is for Cavalier. ---

Oh I gotcha. I was actually going to pick-up bald’s BFGs, but I read that with a 225-series tires and the lower offset of the rims (42 compared to 54), I would have a rubbing issue when I lower the car (doing Eibachs later this year). So I had to keep it the same size. ---

last thing i bought was a powered USB to IDE/SATA adapter on eBay… last car related thing was a set of KC daylighters. i bought toilet paper and toothpaste at walmart this morning, but I wasn’t counting that. ---
