meh. i rode my 40lb 1970s road bike that’s permanently stuck in the tallest gear for about 40 miles the other day… It wasn’t really a big deal… You’re the kind of dude that bike shops love… ---

I just picked up an old Ross frame to build a fixed gear out of. I just really got into riding at the the beginning of this summer. I have a friend who works at a bike shop where i can get components for cheap sometimes even free. I think i am going to pain the frame white and try to go with black components on that. As for my road bike i have a late 80’s chromoly Univega. 12 speed with 27 inch wheels. It has a Shimano 600 groupset and dia-compe brakes. I guess it was fairly light for it’s day. Extremely heavy for today’s standards but i like it nonetheless. It is also the biggest frame i have ever seen. Check it out. i would imagine there has been a huge increase in the amount of people riding bikes. I wouldnt tag it ‘bandwagon’. with gas costs what they are and more people aware of how f-ing fat everyone is, fitness and gas saving has started to gain popularity… sort of. people are still fat. ---

I am talking about what I call “roadies”. These guys all put on their gay outfits and ride around like a bunch of butt pirates. I am talking flashy multi colored shirts. If you are not racing why do you need a gay ass jersey? They must be the ricers of the bicycle world. ---
