What he is saying is that since you are trying to better yourself, you probably have a job, much like the rest of us. Why should some of our tax money go to support people that don’t want to work?

Way to take it in the extreme. You make it sound like Obama is going to take your entire paycheck. When instead he is probably going to lower your taxes, unless you personally make over 250k.
You live in such clear and defined stereotypes its kinda scary, like you have been brainwashed or something. Nothing is as black and white as you say it is. But I guess it makes life simpler for you. And probably in your case you can’t handle anything complicated.
And just to clear up, I have been on my own since I was 19, I took out loans for my education and have been married for 3 years and I’m voting democrat.

He is going to affect people that make a hell of a lot less than $250k.
Right now the economy sucks and our dollar sucks. The congressional approval rate is at a historic low. They have been the least productive congress in history. It is time for a change, vote Republican in November.

You think the economy has taken a dump because dems were voted in congress?
I agree this congress has not done much but wait until you have a democratic president with a democratic congress. Then we will have some progress.
And protect the Supreme Court as well.

It has nothing to do with Bush being president. This congress really sucks nuts. Yeah i know if Obama was President he would be a good little bitch and sign everything without reading the fine print. Thank god that is not the case now, and hopefully won’t be in any near future.

I’m a young person. And I am voting Democrat.
Then again, I’m also a homeowner. And I do have a family to support. What I realize, is that I personally (and you also, because if you were anywhere near the income level which will be hurt by Obama’s tax plan, you wouldn’t be driving a mid 80’s Dodge) I will benefit by Obama defeating McCain.

Please explain this thought process to me.
For the last 8 years, we’ve had a republican president, and for the first 6 years of his time in office, the legislature was controlled by the same party.
Was everything just totally awesome for Bush’s first 6 years and I just can’t remember it?
If you’re delusional enough to think republicans are the answer right now, fine. But don’t act like your party hasn’t created the swamp that so many are drowning in.
The only comfort that I find in any of this, is that you retards live in New York. So Obama will win our state this fall, despite how fucking clueless you might be.

this may be a dumb question but if he raises taxes to the rich where the hell are the rich, prices of good are going to go ^^^^^^^^^^^^^. for some reason the dem’s are blind to this. maybe they like people dependent on government. i do not need and or want the best country in the world to fall to communism.

All I see is redistribution of wealth I can’t imagine any “progress”.
I met with my CPA last week to talk about year end tax planning and he estimated our taxes at $xx,xxx even though we had a significant lose for the year.
So we are being taxed out the ass even though we didn’t make a penny.
He explained that a couple years ago things changed and inventory values are now “inflated” to make it appear that companies profit when they actually have a lose.
I asked him what the justification was for this other than tax revenue and he kind of laughed and told me that was the only reason really.

Huh? You raise taxes on the rich and all of a sudden the prices are going to go up? How do you make that connection? Are CEO’s going to “charge” more money? Are actors going to say I want a million more dollars because of taxes or are football players not going to take the field because they have more taxes to pay?
There is no connection to raising income tax on the rich and prices to the middle class, maybe dems don’t see it because it doesn’t exist.
Again this is not going to lead to communism. That is the most paranoid, stereotypical response from the right. Most people that try to scare people with the word communism don’t even know what the word means.
Here’s a historical fact: Not even the USSR was communist. A true communist state would have no true government, landownership, business ownership or class structure what so ever. Individualism would be banned, freedom of thought or expression would be outlawed if it didn’t fall in line with the commune. **Thats not what I want and thats not what the dems want either.**
Are there communist out there? Yes, but they are not the ones running for office.

So the only reason why a company would want to look like they are making a profit was so that they can be taxed more than they should?
How about this: they inflate their books so investors don’t pull out and cause the company to go under.
No way a company would want to be taxed more than they should.

Why did you only quote the second part of what I typed?
The numbers only change for tax purposes.
This has NOTHING to do with trying to look profitable, it is the govt trying to twist numbers to justify taxes.
In other words inventory has always been x+y, now the govt makes us add z to x and y so we look profitable for tax purposes.
We still lost money and our books show it.
If you look at the tax forms, we made money.
Like I said it is just a scheme to raise tax revenue.
When an investor looks at our books they see red.

All tax talk aside I pray that McCain doesnt make it to the white house. If he does my ass is leaving the country.
But really. It scares me when I look at the people that support McCain, as far as the “regular joe” types are concerned.
I honestly think America as a whole needs to change it’s way of thinking. But as long as people with mullets wear daisy dukes, and think its ok and are proud of it., than we are always going to have problems. Oh ya it probably would hurt if they learned to spell moron too lol. (cue moran pic)
