i know mike gave them 3 options, the two of them buy him a new one, all 3 of them split a new one, . and there was money paid for the install just not saying how much maybe mike will chime in tomarrow when hes back on

He will in fact not win any legal aspect of this as there is no proof of monies exchanged for work.Paul and Chris are not a registered repair shop. There for you will also be out 35 dollar for the small claims court filing.I really think Chris and Paul will do the right thing. I had a recent problem last summer with Chris.His stepfather did not want to pay me for the work I did on a car for him because it did not run after.However I repaired all problems that were brought up when we negotiated the repair(brake lines,calipers, rotors,and gas tank). After having no prior knowledge of why the vehicle sat for two years.I replaced everything asked.After all said and done we learned there was no fuel pressure.Had power at pump. pump was not turning on.I put a new pump in.Now it has fuel pressure but no spark.His step dad did not want to pay me.Chris paid me himself.I will never help his step dad out but it shows the kid has good character.

i paid them 500 to do the work. would have been a little different maybe if i helped them with it but i had surgery and was unable to and i dropped it off to them
pauly i said if your going to tell me to go to a real shop i said no to even reply in here because i already know and its the past and cant be changed

Wow. Ok That’s my labor rate for ebo clutches and I can guarantee you would have never had that problem with me. I have an exedy triple plate with less than 500 miles I could sell you for the installed price of 1500 including fluids… lmk?

With the tuning the stock clutch went very quick as did mine.

Qouted For Truth. Although when a friend helps me I at least try to give em something worth their time / efforts.
Sorry to hear about the lesson man, but consider it just that: A lesson.
And, regardless of how I feel about what psphinx does with his car, I sincerely hope that he didn’t install his in the same manner.

That’s shitty as fuck dude.
I’m not going to tell you what you should have done, or say it’s your fault.
But I will say this. You’re pretty much fucked because there is no way to force them to refund your clutch + labor costs.
Honestly, you can’t expect people, let alone some of the dirtbag garage job mechanics around here to refund money if they don’t have to. Honestly, you have two choices one is illegal the other one is sucking up the blow to the wallet, IF the other party decides to fuck you over.
I’m sorry man…
