NOT GM, but VW. So let’s see, Porsche ownes 29.9% (controlling share) of VW/Audi Group, VW/Audi buys Proton. Porsche owns Lotus? Could be interesting. Perhaps most important to car enthusiasts is the involvement of Lotus, which is owned by Proton, and therefore would come under control of Volkswagen. > Today’s report indicates VW would buy a 51 percent stake in the company, which it could conceivably expand in the future. Ok, all kidding aside, I thnk this is a good thing. At least I hope it is. VW did well for Lamborghini. It’s nice to see deep pockets behind small car companies. ---

I’m kinda glad GM didn’t buy them. The whole Fiat fiasco really hurt my portfolio…
