I was there. there was a blue skyline there. 1st run was like 17 sec 2nd was 15 and 3rd was 14. there was something seriously wrong with that car. was blowing smoke like crazy all 3 times. I think a bad head gasket ---

My best tonite was a 14.7. (4th run)…My 1st run was horrible. No traction in 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear!!! (with a 2000rpm launch)…4th run took off normal…managed a .97 r/t and a 1/4 of 14.75. 60 ft’s blew all 5 runs. I need Drag Radials or slicks for better traction. It was perfect tonite. 5 runs within a 2hr period!!! ---

I’ve pulled multiple 2.0 60’s on the stock tires, you just have to learn how to get around the wheel hop and hope they prep the track well. I assume you’re bone stock? Does your car sit at Pittsburgh Mills? If so, I saw it Monday. ---

Wheel hop isn’t as much of a problem for me (i installed race MMI’s Tuesday night)…I spin more than anything now…I have no power adding mods right now, so in that respect, i’m stock. There were a few older guys that were saying the track conditions were less than ideal…Don’t think it was that bad tho personally…I will say that with each run, my times were getting better…Next time i’ll lower the tire pressure, see what that does. Lots of trial and error involved with launching these cars…haha ---

When I was stock I had no problem with spinning at all, ran 13.9@101 or something like that. You might just need to come off the line easier. I remember revving to around 2000 and quickly slipping the clutch. The best 60’s actually came w/ some wheel hop. I have solid motor mounts and noticed absolutely no difference in wheel hop. WOT shift and drop your tire pressure to about 26 hot. Is your car an 03 or 04-05? If it’s 04-05 you should be able to pull a high 13 with a good pass. ---

I think lowering the tire pressure will help alot. I’ll also try slipping the clutch as opposed to dropping it. The 60ft is the obvious weak point in my runs. My R/T’s could use a bit of work as well. I absolutely refuse to WOT shift. Not worth possibly blowing the tranny to get better times. Thanx for ur advice. I’m planning on going back out next wednesday. We’ll see what happens.
