# PRP Rule Question

Will PRP enforce the rule any car with an aftermarket turbo be required to wear a firejacket?
if so i need one asap

Exhaust System: Add to section, “Turbo applications, aftermarket header permitted – turbo must be located in engine compartment.”
Page 108 (12/05)
Turbocharger: Replace last sentence with “DD/AT: Single turbocharger limited to 72mm; twin turbocharger prohibited on four-cylinder applications.”

it does suck for the remote turbos though. i wonder if they would even let them run t&t.

really… thats pretty crazy… i dont see whats so bad about remote turbos… and whats wrong with having a turbo bigger than 72 mm for a single. supras do that all the time and i wouldnt mind a T88 single.

i think its due to the fact that people are buying some of the “economy” turbo kits that are out on the market today. And who knows if they actually properly install them.
60 bucks for a firejacket, that was fine with me. I would rather be safe and rule abiding then the guy getting kicked off and picking a fight.

yeah true…
i broke into the 13’s a few times and didnt have a helmet but they never said anything
if i had slicks or radials, i be deeper into the 13’s for sure
that seems to be the only rule they dont enforce all that much… cuz i know i seen guys without helmets goin alot faster than me LOL

yeah I did not have a helmet last year and I was in the 13s… So i guess they enforce what they want. I know that slowcivic got screamed at when he got kicked off last year.
this year i will have a DS loop, helmet and Jacket. So I should have no worries

They wouldn’t let me run because I had a DOT approved helmet and not a snell approved. Then after running nitrous for 2 years they bust me for not having a blow down tube. I fixed that and they say I can’t run it because my nitrous line is inside the car. They used to be real leinant on rules but they’ve been checking me over very close.

they tried that with me,tell them to show u in the rule book
