well for anyone else that wants to read up on these bills and the idea of the draft happening, [www.bushdraft.com](http://www.bushdraft.com)
they have some things, personally, I’m going to be getting married in 2006, date’s already set and we’re planning things, but if this passes and I get drafted, guess I gotta speed things up a bit.
I’m not too worried though, although before I looked around I was a little on edge. There have been a bunch of these bills floating around over the past few years and they usually get shot down

yeah, i suppose, i was making a joke of the inevitabilty of taxes… but more importantly i don’t know how much we owe… if it came down to it i’m sure we’d all fight for the country… but i’m not going to just run out and sign up… i give back to society daily… we all work and pay our fair share to live in this country… that money should be going to troops and people that WANT to be in the services, to make their job better… it’s all about working, some people’s jobs are the armed forces… if you are some lazy unemployed asshole you should go fight for this country, as per this draft. but personally… given the choice, i wouldn’t go fight… i have a job and contribue to gov’t spending, i’ve already paid over 5g’s in taxes JUST out of my paycheck… let alone all the other bullshit we pay for.
i don’t have a stance for or against the draft… but i know that if they sent me to war they wouldn’t be living off my tax dollars… (i know 5000 is trivial, but the point is there are 50,000 other people that have contributed = to or more than that… it’s all for gov’t spending)

How are you gonna make a welfare / homless person go to war. it aint ever gonna happen. and if it did they would either sit around and not do shit or excel. im gonna go with the first of the two.

i agree they are worthless and should be shot…
but… how are you going to make a person that is contributing to society by working and contributing to the gov’t by paying taxes, over some lazy asshole that doesn’t do shit for anyone?

why not just take everyone in jail, and put them to work cleaning up stuff in the war zones. We pay a crazy amount of money for these fucks to sit in a jail cell, when we could be getting work out of them. Send these people in first and if they get shot, who cares. Save some lives of good citizens instead of worthless trash.

because they can always make up a million or what not another way. it doesnt matter to them really as long as they have the people they need. If it was up to me would be no draft and if it wasnt for the fucked up bush then maybe they would have enough people to stay away from the draft. well and clinton added to that shit too.

Let me break this down for all of you who think we shouldnt be in Iraq and we are wasting our time. Especially for Darkstar, and the guy who loves his family so much he wouldnt fight for there freedom. Hate on me if you wish, but this is how I like to look at it and you should too. I’ll make this real easy. Here’s a story that describes it
I love my entire family so much. They are so wonderful. I would do anything for them because I am the head of the household. The other day, my neighbor threatened my family. He started harboring weapons, and started doing sneaky things behind the mayors back. I found out, so I went over to his house and destroyed the weapons and turned the man over to the police.
translated:
I am the President of the country. I love my country and all the people in it. I would do anything for them because I am the leader of this country. a couple years ago, I found out that Iraq threatened our country. They started harboring weapons and started sneaking around behind the U.N’s back. I found out, so I went over to that country and destroyed the weapons/army and turned the Dictator over to his people.
moral of the story: Would you wait until they came and killed your family to start defending yourself?
…Yeah, thats what I thought!

If you haven’t noticed there are enough people in iraq that hate us because of this war. These people will be the next group of terrorists.
Get it through your simple minded conservative skull that you cannot intimidate these radical followers of islam with violence. They are not afraid to die and cannot be stopped with military force.
At best the war in iraq did nothing positive for this country. At worst it created a huge new base to draw terrorists from.

If you are called on by your country to do your duty to defend said country I think you should go.
Would I go if I got drafted: YES
Would I complain if I got drafted: NO
Would I be scared: Yes
In the fact of it I would hope that I have enough guts and bravery to defend my country so that my familiy can live in a country such as ours without fear of takeover, hostility, or brutatlity that comes with living in a lot of other nations.
If you can’t understand that maybe you should go live in another country for a few years and see what you think.

But what would of happened had we not gone? Would Sadam had raided another country, rebuild his army? Continue to attack and kill his own countrymen?
What you see is the news media getting ratings, I would bet it’s more like a 75% people are happy Sadam is gone, and the other 25% are scrambling to get power now that his gone and fighting for it. Of course the 25% are killing each other and fighting for power which brings people to the T.V. so the media is going ot show it…
