# Q45 Throttle Body on N/A KA24DE

Has anyone installed a Q45 throttle body on an N/A KA24DE. Is there any noticable increase in throttle response and does it bolt right up to the intake manifold or is modification needed?

i dont think u should do that to a ka lol thats askin forr trouble.
WHo knows where to get one for a fair price?

Funny thing is the KA throttle body is a good upgrade for a CA, it may be worth exploring the Q45.

Hey man, i am going to the shop tonight i have a throttle body from a Q45 there. Ill see if anything is needed to bolt it up.
FYI, your gonna need to be looking for a (i believe) pre 1993 throttle body because after that they have the TCS mounted on them.
Ill get back to you tonight and let you know how it mounts.

Q45 TB on a NA KA will severely decrease throttle response… you will loose ALL modulation ability.

it’s not going to just bolt right on, the bolt flange for it is HUGE compared to the stock unit. There isn’t enough material to drill and tap new holes.

if your looking for the q45 tb, i might be able to help.
i also have 2 weld on tb plates to weld onto your intake manifold to adapt the q45tb.
i had to do this to my 2jz intake manifold.
just helpin you out
