Any idea when AMD and Intel plans on making the Quad Cores available to the consumer market and what the target prices will be? ---

[/quote] Intel already has theirs out… AMD is on the way I believe, although… I don’t think that they’re a very good buy unless it’s for server use. Super expensive and 99% of the time, a single/dual core will probably hang with it without much of a problem ---

Honestly why move to quadcore…wait for the prices to come down… Very few people here max out the dual core… ---

Granted. My real point was that AMD is a damn solid company. Looks like they needed a temporary quad solution until mid 2007. Both companies are always neck and neck. There is little sense in championing one over the other since it always seems to flip back and forth. ---
