# question about e36 m42 transmission.

I’ve got a '95 318ti that’s got a slow transmission leak at the rear seal to the driveshaft. basically, in the most straightforward terms possible, has anyone replaced one of these before and how much does it suck to do?

pretty sure you should sign up on the e36 forum. its probably as easy as pulling the drive shaft out and pulling the seal out and pushing the new one in, but its a bmw so who knows
