# Question about VVT-i Toyota engine

Hey there, I just turned 73k on my 03 Camary 2.4 5speed…
I was just wondering if there is any basic maintance I should be planning for that anyone can tell me… If I do remember there is a timing chain???
let me know…
any basic maintance on the engine, suspension, tranny…etc…
anything to look out for, problems…etc?

only preventative stuff i would look at is a tune up as ur closer to 100k and if you havent done it already a coolant flush. other than that you should be good.

look in your owners manual it will list any needed maint. why am i the only one that actually reads that thing?

seems like only thing I gotta do is coolant, tranny service, and new plugs @ 100k, the timing chains sometimes start to slap around 150k, but there is a tensoner that you can buy that’ll tighten it up??? or just replace it, whatever either way… there is like no maintance, not like old school carbs were you gotta play with something every week :tup:
but of course this is just the DD, not the racecar
