they are still really good trucks just look into wat you are buying and make sure the truck has been maintained! ive seen many trucks with tuners and mods go to 300,000 no problem! ---

So what would be considered “high mileage” for a diesel motor, for example… when major repairs will need to be done? ---

Like I said. Could be that mines from the swap or that its a late model 05. I’ve got the orginal sales slip and the RO from when the motor was done. I’m not gonna argue about it all night. ---

well ive heard that up to 200000 miles the most common problem is injection pump. on the lb7’s. the pump usually goes around 120-130l miles. the injectors should have been replaced under warranty early on if not that can be a big expense. as soon as ppl start throwing power at the motors the tranny is the weak point! it doesnt take much to limp a tranny. 120rwhp or more and it can be dangerous watchout for that. ---

Not tryin to be a big man dood. Just goin by the tsb’s on the website for gm techs. If you wanna check out those books you could take a look too. Its really a good read. ---

i actually would love to barrow them im laid off and sitting at home. anytime i can learn more info on the truck its awesome! i did some research and a few of the late model 05’s they did throw the 6spd in! they just didnt have the manual shift mode til 06. which is my bad but that makes sense cuz my dad got his truck built in dec of 04, which is why the 6spd wasnt an option at that time ---

yeah sorry ive never heard of that til tonight! thats def sweet but the converter’s in our tranny’s suck! be careful with a tuner! mine is shot and im slowly getting all the parts i need for a rebuild! ---
