If it relies on the molding to hold you up, you will most likely rip the molding right off the frame. So, this is a big NEGATIVE. Not needed. ---

ok no but look at the ad in one sentence is says _“This is a great doorway pull up bar and can be used on **any sturdy door frame**. You don’t need a large area to use this Chin up bar”._ and in the other it says _Fits doorway up to 32" wide **(sturdy doorway with border trim required)**_. so i deff think they dont know wht they are talking about. ---

since it looks like there is a tension setting on the other side. (the side that wouldnt hook to the frame if it rly needed to) i would say no because as long as u can keep pressure against the frame on the other side then both sides will be tensioned to the door frame. I dont think u need molding, but it wouldnt hurt. ---

Isn’t this the same concept as that iron gym shit? One of my friends bought that and he didn’t have a single doorway in his house that it would work with without removing a door. rofl. Oh and my brother bought it and he’s having the same problem. These things seem silly. I guess they are the modern day ab roller. ---
