Oh, that was in 1785. Said by Tripoli’s ambassador to Thomas Jefferson and John Adams in London during the lead up to the first Barbary War. The more things change the more they stay the same. But yeah we can build peace and democracy over there in a few years.

Can we fucking pull out now?
