# R32 Skyline rear multilink

So in conversation with someone yesterday, I was told that since I have the upper & lower control arm, tie rod, hub, spindle, calipers, rotors, etc… off a R32 skyline, I can simply take off my stuff, bolt this directly on and be on my way. It sounded way too good to be true, but then again the source was pretty reliable since he said he had done this on his own S13.
Anyone know for certain?

whats the advantage of it anyways? think about what your asking…it will still have rubber bushings in the multi-link. The only advantage would be if the rear subframe was stiffer and possibly the differential

this is the same as doig the entire rear z32 swap, you may save a bit of weight, but you’ll need r32 rear shocks…have fun finding a coilover eventualhy for that combo.

Well, the advantage would’ve been that my R32 multi is in mint shape, and the person told me that the suspension mounts are the same between R32/S13 but different for Z32. So I was told I could reuse my shocks. But now I know I can’t, and I’m very glad I asked before I tried it 😃
Anyway, after looking into it on Zilvia, I found out it’s a dumb idea and there’s a much easier way to do it. I’m posting the link here, and I think we should definitely have this link stickied in FAQ so that people are not scared away by others telling them it’s a difficult swap. It’s actually quite simple and straightforward.
There are instructions and nice labeled pictures. You don’t even need the rear knuckle or anything, you just reuse your own.
