Hey all. I just purchased another 240 and it came with R-1 Racing Seats. There’s one big, big problem though. The way they sit is for someone who’s 100cm tall ;( Is there any easy mod/trick to getting them lower, or was it just a bad install? I haven’t looked at them too well yet but I noticed they’re on stock-looking rails. Any help would be appreciate 😉

yeah the stock rails are your problem… you can pull out the seat and cut up the rails to make it lower, but its a lot of work

Right on. Yeah, I think I’m just going to put stock seats in. I don’t feel like hassling with these seats.

Or you can get aftermarket bottom mount rails, or sidemount rails. That’ll drop the height of it massively. My Bride sits lower than the stock seat by a good few inches.

all the kids in JDM land are starting to cruise around with giant racing seats and their heads sticking out the sunroof…I think its the new fad going around, you should start it!

Ha, yeah! New trends ftw! Thanks Pyro but the seats are just too big. Side mounts would never work and the bottom rails are maybe 3" and I need them down about 6" 😉 I already took them out, buying stock seats in the morning.
