# Radar Warning: Maple Rd Amherst

There was a real bad accident Friday night on Maple at N. Forest. 4 cars, one guy died. We drove by around 9pm and it was still a mess.

Since then I have seen radar traps on Maple between N. Forest and UB 2 of the 3 times I’ve driven that way. This knee jerk accident reaction will probably continue for a couple weeks.
I know traffic normally goes 55+ on that stretch of Maple so I figured a warning was in order.
Today APD blocked the center lane and the accident reconstruction guy went up on the fire departments ladder truck to get some arial shots of the crash site. I snapped this phone pic while taking the truck for a test spin after changing the transmission fluid/filter.

Maybe they will fix that retarded lane shift right before the intersection that they added last year…

I’m guessing the lane shift is why the accident reconstruction guy needed the arial view.
Though, from the sounds of it, the lane shift had nothing to do with it. The lady who caused it was speeding up N. Forest.

That’s a tough intersection anytime. Gotta be careful and paying attention through there. Not a place I’d choose to be speeding. That bitch was probably on her phone too.
