# radio unlock code for a Honda

My wife killed the battery in her 08 civic EX yesterday and I need to get the unlock code for the radio. Poked around online a little and haven’t found much. Any of the Honda guys on here got an answer? Do I just need to call the dealer with the VIN?

you should be able to call the dealer, but i know on some honda/acuras you can turn the key to acc mode with the radio off and then while holding the 1 and 6 preset buttons turn the radio on and the code should flash on the screen.

I’ll give it a try if not I’ll call Della tomorrow.

look in the owners manual for a card , a lot of the times its in there on a buissness lookin card . if not call the dealer wit the vin and they should be able to get ya thru it

I looked in the glovebox, but she got it used so no owners manual with it unfortunetly.

Damn, that link wouldn’t be bad if they didn’t need the first owners number and zip code to match it up with the dealers info.
