Just to add to the topic, Rand Paul raised about $600,000 yesterday for the campaign and is polling in 2nd. [http://www.randpaul2010.com/](http://www.randpaul2010.com/) IMO, he would be a better politician than Ron Paul because he is more willing to work with others and take initiative rather than just vote no on everything. ---

Or maybe he has been in government long enough to realize that they mess almost everything up? If any of you Paul-haters are interested I will take the time to quote some of his more famous “warning speeches” in congress that outlined serious potential problems that needed addressing, that of course came true when everyone ignored him. ---

In this type on context wouldn’t a more accurate picture of his wisdom be drawn with a comparison and tally of his warnings/predictions compared to those of other law makers of the time? If he had as an example 10 bullseyes in a decade and the next best “competitor” only had 2 I think it is safe to say that his method is more influential than chance. ---

You can’t be an effective lawmaker by simply voting No to everyone else’s ideas, without proposing a realistic alternative. They call him Dr. No for a reason. He refuses to vote on anything that even slightly contradicts his beliefs and he is certainly not very good at getting his own legislation passed. ---

why should we be upset at him for being consistent? And yes he often does give very good reasn as to why hes voting no. He doesnt just vote no and not say anything about. he feels strongly about every bill he votes on and most of the time hes voting no because he feels the free market can handle most things better than the federal government can. Also most of his predictions have been correct. And more and more of them have been becoming true lately.
