Wow, works now. That is crazy. The same gene that doesn’t allow me to be truly fast on a motorcycle I think would prohibit me from trusting my life to knots I tied myself… I call it the “gotta go to work on Monday” gene.
The vids make you appreciate the height (and lunacy)

Yeah. I use 2 dynamic ropes rated at 4500 lb MBS and one safety rope rated at 8500 lb MBS. All the anchors are double or triple reinforced. We’re pretty careful about everything, and I have very nice gear.

Vids are uploading now, but taking forever. I’ll probably post them in the morning.
And I must say that although I didn’t jump this time, it’s fairly impressive to see how much Newman sets this stuff up. Definitely inspires some confidence. Jumping off a 200’ bridge confidence? Debatable, but still. lol He seems to know what he’s doing and doesn’t take any chances with the set up. :tup:

Was a fun time.I got a short rappeling lesson and jumped 2nd.Im going to buy my own harness tomorrow

Anyone know of any other tall/wide bridges? Arches would be ideal. The new 219 bridge is going to need to get done. But that’s gonna need to be a stealthy operation…

Whats the jolt feel like when you finally hit the bottom of the jump? Looks like it hurt from the first vid paulo just posted. I don’t know if those ropes have any give to them that would help cushion the blow before the swing? Looks like a good time :tup:

The ropes are actually very stretchy. The main ropes are a pair of dynamic ropes which can stretch up to 30%. The jolt looks violent, but it’s really not bad at all.
