i am able to get a rb20 front clip for really cheap
i want to know how hard the install would be
like every thing extra i would need to get

its very hard. you need to fab of find a compatible oil pan to clear the steering rack… any good shop will charge you upward of 5000 just to get the motor in there.

i have just finished mine, buy it from me…
Not worth the countless hours and big hole in my wallet, maybe if you have a shop it would be easier
i uused mckinney mounts, driveshaft from my ABS/HICAS car fit fine…

just buy a stock rb20det cefiro from japan for 7000$, convert it from auto and call it a day. Screw wiring i you dont know what you’re doing.

WTF are you guys smoking?? Custom oil pan?? It’s an RB20. A clip will come with enough stuff to bolt it in. Then it’s wiring, and a driveshaft. BUT there is a reason why RB20 clips are so cheap, if you’re going to spend the money to swap in an RB, go with an RB25.

well when you can get a rb20det with tranny, ecu and harness for $1500 i think its worth it plus it came out of my buddies gts-t type m

you dont need an oil pan, wtf is this
all you need
1. engine mounts
2. tranny mount
3. driveshaft
and yea all the shit like intercooler piping wiring and minor work as usual with all motor swaps
for rb25 you would need a crossmember

yea no custom oilpan is needed, heh.
Also, RB20’s are only worth about $1500 so don’t think you’re getting some crazy deal.
I guess it’s a bit on the cheap side but they never go for more than about $2k even from some stupid expensive plance.

it comes with a HKS Bov ,greddy fmic, and hydra ems standalone
all i need is to get new piping for the front mount

Yea, go 25…After mine Im kicking myself for not…for the extra 100$ or so, its worth it
Wiring: in theory, you only need 4…if you dont mind not having a cluster, or have other forms of monitoring devices like gauges and an RSM, like me
Oilpan: No problem
Mounts: Needed, or R32 X-member
Driveshaft: Ive had no problems with mine…although my diff is making a wierd noise now…
Patience…now this you need alot of… Took me damn near a month to do the whole thing…many hours spent bangin head against car thinking…
Still, I got my engine set minus MAF for 1250$, so i figure it was a good way to go LOL
