# RB20DET, tachometer question.

Since the 240 was swapped from the 4cyl KA to the 6cyl RB20DET, the tach incorrectely displays RPM’s. Now Ive read on the NICO forums that I can just attatch a 10k resisitor or something to the wiring and problem solved. Does anyone here have any experience with this process, where I can get one(the resistor), and how to go about installing it.

I remember 1mns13 talking about resistors tachs and speedos. He might be able to help you out.

I have never had to convert a tach. The previous owner of your car asked the same question, and it would seem he told you what I told him. Give it a shot.
