# real quick nysdmv question

i cant find it on the site but what if a licensed driver (car) gets caught driving a motorcycle without a cycle license or permit… what are the penalties? i can only assume it would go under other moving violation with a 2 point penalty… can anybody confirm this?

i got a ticket for that before it was called driving out of class, i think i paid a fine with no points

i wonder how lenient the police would be about letting you ride off without one.

I think my permit expired…

I got 1 a few years ago … with a permit … it was just an out of class ticket and i rode off … was like $100
