I’d back it, but only as low interest loans for companies like Wegmans and tops to encourage building supermarkets in poor urban areas. I think it might help in many ways such as creating jobs and increasing property values, and so on… ---

I think it will fail. It will be much harder to pawn off your food stamps for cash when everyone is only using food stamps. ---

I just don’t see how subsidizing retail does anyone any good. That’s like considering starting from the top of a hill a performance mod. ---

So, where are all these people getting their food now? If it’s not at least a little profitable to run a store in the low rent districts, they should not be in low rent districts. Although, it would be nice to see a 10% increase in property values when a $15,000 house sells for $16,500 because it’s next to a Wegmans. ---
