# Rear Blinker Bulbs.   Laws in NYS?

I am looking to get some new rear LED turn signals for my car, but I have a bunch of different color choices.

Are there any laws in NY that mention the rear lamp colors? I know that in the front they cant be white, red or blue. What about the rear?

I was in Toronto last week, and saw some white LED blinkers for the rear, and I thought it was hot. I want that. But, that was also Canada.

Any laws saying I can/can’t do that here?

Rear blinkers in US period, not just NYS have to be of SAE automotive Red or SAE automotive Yellow.

Thanks 🙂 Exactly the answer I was looking for; not exactly the one I wanted to hear.

I was thinking of going 15 LED blue… and risking it. You happen to know the penalty?

has to be red or amber, else fails NYSI and they can pull you over on the street for it
