Kid in school had a sentra rental when his mustang was in the shop for a steering column replacement after an attempted theft. They main-lined a bottle feed on the dyno and grenaded it. Pushed it back into the parking lot and claimed a no-start…

A couple friends of mine rented an aveo or something, it was a 5 speed.
One of them thought it was a good idea to pull the ebrake at 100mph on the 90.
They hit the wall a few times… insurance saved their ass.

I think your regular car insurance covers rentals, no?

it does but it doesnt cover the “loss of use” from the time the vehicle is unable to be used until its fixed.

If you have American Express, their 19 dollar car insurance is very good, usually cheaper than buying from the rental company.
Honestly I don’t understand people who asshat around in a rental car, beating it up and damaging someone else’s property. Its so stupid. I’ve rented mustangs and camaro’s and never been a dick with the rental car.
