Thought I’d start a thread for people to post recommended reading.
Restricted to tuning / mod / performance / driving / engineering related books only, e.g., technical!!!
The purpose of this thread is to help each one of you build your personal library of quality reference material (read it while on the can and get an education while you’re doing your business).
In addition to recommendations, feel free to also steer people away from books that initially appeared to be decent but turned out to be crap so no one else falls victim.

Title: Maximum Boost. Designing, Testing and Installing Turbocharger Systems
Author: Corky Bell
Publisher: Bentley Publishers
Subject: duh
Synopsis: Gives you the best crash course you could ever get in turbo charging. If this book can’t answer your turbo related questions I guess no book can. F#@king Fantastic! Covers the basics, explains all the related systems, engine management, and more!
Why I like it: Keeps it simple and completely removes all the bench racing and BS found on the internet. If you spend any time studying this you will save money, time and get better performance. Even if you don’t do anything but buy a car already boosted and never touch the system you’ll know what is going on. Read this book and never feel like a turbo noob again!

I too have read it. It is a little bit old, but still very relevant. I also have read or own:
Title: How to tune and Modify Engine Management Systems
Author: Jeff Hartman
Publisher:MBI Publishing Company
Synopsis: If you have ever wanted to know how and EMS system works, and modify, this book has it all. Very in depth and advanced book. It also has 10 project cars, explaining how the vehicles were modified.
Title: Bosch Fuel Injection & Engine Management: Theory Of Operation, Troubleshooting And Service Using Common Tools And Equipment, High Performance Tuning,
Author: Charles O Probst

This book is so advanced that i could not make it through. First published in the 60s. It is pretty much an engineering textbook. All you Turbo guys need to know is that no exhaust system is the best for turbos. So freer flowing the better.

Author: Mark Warner

This is a very good bood. More current than Maximun boost, but not as in depth as Maximum Boost.
