Seen a young guy cruising around Homestead alot always revving the engine 🙂 Don’t know him but the car seems a little quick. Was talking about him the other week at a poker game and another guy im buds with who has a yellow wrx says he always runs into this guy as well. Just wondering if the guy is on pittspeed or if anyone knows him… There is alot of talk on another ls1 site about srt-4’s and ls1’s going head to head etc. Well those with srt-4’s post some v8 kills for me 😉 I need a laugh 🙂 Tomorrow’s drive back up north will surely suck. ---

SRT4’s are quick but you cant beat the sound of an LS1 i’d much rather spend $20,000 on an Fbody ---

SRT4’s are quick, but they are still Neon so therefore it is is still weak. ---

I go to the Waterfront every once in a while, but not often. Not always revving the engine, and don’t know a guy with a yellow WRX, so it’s not me. The SRT is fun and cheap…13.2@105 isn’t bad for less than a grand into a weak Neon I guess. ---

I know of two people in my area with red SRT-4’s, so it’s kind of hard to tell who it might have been. ---

i have still yet to drive an SRT4 yet. the new SRT6 crossfire is a pretty nice car ---

Nods. I can’t recall anything else about the guy. Was just curious what sort of numbers anyone here might have gotten on their rides… 13.2@105 is pretty nice. Havent had a chance to get a timeslip[ on mine yet, but I think we’d be real close. from the high trap speed I assume your car still pulls nicely at 90+? This guy wasn’t you Im sure, seems he sorta ran out of muscle once we got 70+. Haha not a sensible thing to do across a bridge that has a 25 mph posted limit ;( That ticket would have sucked much ass. Do we have an old archived post about common speed trap locations? ---

The car actually feels faster now than when I had it at the track. I had just installed the Stage 2 the week before and the boost was spiking really bad, and the car was just generally acting weird. I finally leak tested the car today (BOV was leaking bad) and it feels a lot better. I think I could pull of a 13 flat pass now. Bone stock it ran 13.9@100. I’m not generally too woried about cops in Pittsburgh. I’ve gone pretty fast across that bridge too and thought about that before. We’re blessed to live in the state of Pennsylvania where the weather sucks and local cops aren’t allowed to use radar! ---

haha, oh really? I didn;t know that 🙂 I was pulled over going across liberty bridge btw bellefield _i think_ and omw to 40th street area… taking the not soo short cut to fox chapel… The officer said he smelled pot when he pulled up behind me at a light… lol as if that would be a rare occurance in that area ;)) Anyways, I didnt want to tell him it was probably the burning rubber off my tires 😉 Well I would love to roll with ya some night when I get back into town. The 8 hour drive is tomorrow… hope the weather isnt shitty like it was when I came down to NC last weekend. Would be a good gauge for me to see where my car is at, if I can hook up. Well now that I know that, I’m surely gonna get pulled over for speeding 😉 ---

yeah, that sounds cool. I’m down in Oakland Monday and Wednesday nights for class. With this weather first and second gear are worthless for me too. ---

hehe, mopar… lol they made some pretty shitty fuggin aftermarket peices for my '97 Jeep cherokee sport. Their cattle bar/fog light thing up front was a total joke. Not to mention the window rain protector thingies which blew off after a coupel months ;)) Oh the pain… ---

Mopar’s done pretty well for the SRT and PT cruiser. For the SRT they make Stage1, 2, 3R turbo kits (which dynos 350-370 WHP, not bad for a car w/ factory drivability), they designed an exhaust along with Borla, coil over kits, sway bars, short throw shifter, blow off valve conversion kit, etc… ---

I know they are decent stock …about the same as a 99+ Gt in the 1/4. I was referring to the looks. Don’t get me wrong I do respect the SRT4 for how quick it is but I don’t care for the looks. :bigthumb: ---
