so sak picked up some ix sideskirts, fender flares and a spoiler for me at the local pick and pull yard for $8.95 :lol:
they’re white and the paint is rough. i want to strip them and paint them flat black. but i want a paint that goes on evenly, and doesnt so much paint the material as it does stain it a flat black. anyone know anything like this?
any suggestions?

umm paint is paint… since its plastic the only thing that will “stain” it is a vinyl dye which you can pick up at pep boys, but you would have to strip the parts first, but if its plastic, they are probably flat black under neath anyways

Yep, vinyl dyes or paint with urethane flex additive.

dumb question…was the e30 325ix’s AWD? I know the X in bmw means awd…just wondering if they had it back in the 80’s?

yes, 325ix is the awd. no e21, e28, e34, e36, or e39 awd, only e30. everything after that came in awd
