# Removing Factoy shift Knob

Does anyboy know how to remove the factory shift knob? i just bought an after market one and i’m having a hard time removing the factory one.
p.s i have already removed the shift boot.

How did you take off the shift boot without taking off the knob? Anyways, you just have to unscrew it, it’s pretty hard sometimes. WHat you can do is grab it with some vice-grips. (Put a towel if you want to protect it.)

thanks i got it off. the shift boot was ripped so i just ripped that off.
appreciate the help guys
