# replacing 2004 mazda 6s seats with mazdaspeed6 seats?

So I am looking to take the seats i have in my car, 2004 mazda 6s and replace all of them with mazdaspeed6 seats.
here are my seats, not the best pictures, but what i have
they will be black seats now.
trying to find out what i would need to do to remove the seats i have, install the ones im getting. would i need to do anything special for these speed6 seats to fit in my car?

are the speed6 seats power seats?
They will likely bolt right into place, however, if they are power seats, and your car is not, that could be a challenge.

they are non power seats as what ive been told. clothe as well. not leather.
im just worried because, i dont wanna drop this money and have it not work.

the speed seats are non-power seats.
and depends on the trim. some will have leather

Functional airbag \> replacing perfectly good OEM seats with other OEM seats. 😉

the airbag light is still on, but I’m going to get that taken care of first before i put these in because it will void the warranty I’m sure.
yeah they are clothe seats non power. i just want to see if i can get the bolt pattern for both bottoms of the seats, I don’t know yet if im getting the rails with them, which im sure im not unless i pay extra, but if they fit on mine, why pay for those.

You should go with a pair of seats from a Mazda 3S.

i do really really like mazda 3 seats, but im getting a pretty sick deal on all the seats, $575 for the seats and shipping, they only have 28k on them. shipping alone is $175 but im not driving to GA
these are the seats pretty much, not the exact ones but what they look like

i like the darker look. i also hate hate my driver seat. i think some fat ass had the care before me, the seats foam is pushed back, i can feel the seat frame on my right shoulder

just for the back of my seat it would cost me $300 new, thats just for the back, they dont sell the whole seat sooo… i figured i wanted black seats, and well if i need a new driver seat and its going to cost me, why not get all of them

I was expecting speed6 seats to be considerably different than the ones he had now.
Going from cloth seats with almost flat side bolsters to darker cloth seats with almost flat side bolsters.
Meh, not my $600 so what do I care.

thing that sucks is the shipping! if it wasnt for that, i would be getting them for 400$
it is about comfort though, i need a new driver seat. so if im going to get a seat, im not going ricer and getting racing seats, no need. stock seat is going to be hard to come by at a junker or even on line for that color, i prefer black in the car. its also a daily driver, im not trying to make this some built up car. also i dont want to put seats in there im going to have a hard time changing out and placing new components in and also dealing with the airbags

i have not put any money in this car yet besides tints, the only thing is now going to be seats, which how much do mazdaspeed6 seats go for brand new? like i said, i need a seat, and well for the time and money this is not that bad of a deal. it really just the shipping.
