I think Tappo \> Trattoria Aroma. I’m the adventurous type too. I’ll try anything and usually go for the special or something you normally wouldn’t find or have somewhere else.

My go to places for Italian, Bambino and Mulberrys.
The Tratorria Aroma I went to was on Main across from tops.

Thanks for the reply. If you could please elaborate beyond “crappy Italian food”?
They style of Italian we do is purposefully much different than that of Mulberry and Bambino.

Fish fry blew my mind when they had it as a special last year,all the sides were different from the usual stuff that gets plopped out of a bucket. All of the pizzas I had from them were superb.

Little out of my way but I really need a good fish fry with a good macaroni salad.

Desperado’s BBQ in Angola has one of the best briskets I have ever had. Everything is homemade and delicious. The place is a little sketchy, they are closed on Sundays and Mondays, and it’s cash only, but it is so worth it. I haven’t brought anyone there yet that hasn’t thought it is fantastic.

Italian Beef sandwich at Tappo is amazing for only $9 and a huge $15/bottle wine list

Tempo (a little on the fancier side, well worth it though)
Bistro Europa (Steve and Ellen are always slingin’ something awesome)
Trattoria Aroma (we’re doing a custom menu that night)
Carmelo’s (I have nothing but the best to say about this restaurant)
Lombardo’s (I haven’t been in a while, but friend’s reviews have been excellent)
Left Bank (I have always had excellent food and service here)
Bing, lend me some Toronto suggestions for restaurants. We’re staying at the Le Germain and then hitting the Auto Show.
Cool Euro-bistro type places, middle eastern, stuff like that. Not Italian, please. Isabel is on my potential ideas but I want to know some others.

I like Left Bank. I called yesterday and the earilest availability they have is at 10:30pm. They put me on a list with a dozen people ahead of me in case someone cancels…yeah not very promising. I do enjoy going to Trattoria Aroma though. What do they have going on that night Dan? Also, anyone ever been to San Marco? I’ve been there a bunch, great food and nice people. I’m kinda sick of Italian food as it’s all I mostly eat, it becomes overwhelming a tad.

Try Carmelo’s! It’s in Lewiston so it’s a quick run for you. They always have a really cool menu, don’t let his name fool you, the menu isn’t italian.
As far as our menu, I haven’t seen anything final for it.

I’ve been to Carmelo’s a few times, my family knows the owner. I like Lewiston but it’s annoying going places people always ask about your family and things blah blah and talk your ear off. Speaking of Lewiston, Casa Antica is pretty good.
