Eat at Mike A’s, then walk 10 feet to Pan American Grill bar for drinks… problem solved?
Who chooses a restaurant for the drinks or the price of drinks anyway; it’s about the FOOD.

Left Bank (Tough to get a decent reservation)
Hutch’s
Tempo (Pricey)
Sun Cafe (Burmese food)

Grovers (expect a wait)

Western Door is good but if you’re looking for fine dining atmosphere that’s the wrong place, they let any Wal-Mart looking shopper in the door; I’m sorry but If I’m paying more than $100 for two people I don’t want to see sweat pants and ass cracks.

If you’re ordering a captain and coke, you’re at the wrong bar. Expand your horizons a bit and let the bartenders do their thing, perhaps you’ll be surprised. Different drinks are designed to be made with different glassware, different ice, and it’s all for a reason. The reason you have a huge ice cube is so your drink isn’t diluted in 10 minutes. You’re asking for the equivalent of mcdonalds at the finest steakhouse in the city… Order a sazerac next time.

No you are just a nerd. It is way more hip to hang out at a place where you can’t have conversation. Hipsters rarely have anything worth contributing to conversation anyway. LOL

Want to know why the music in clubs is so loud? Because no one there has anything better to say.

Where do you think hipsters hang out? I would go so far to say that most “hipsters” can’t stand the people/places you describe.
