So I have had 2 lapping days now with the new engine and it runs just great.

was able to hit 251kph on the back straight of mosport during breaking in the engine day…

the engine shifted the weight by 1.5%, and the car weighs in at 2870…full fuel/fluids with 6 point cage…full fire supression system…2 seats…

driveability… 245’s are too small and spin even in 3rd gear…however the torque on this engine is just awesome… its very plyable…and the engine just never seems to be working…

engine is bone stock…and lays down 310-330rwhp range…

last lapping was at TMP…and it seemed to like the track…car pushes a little bit more now…however its easy to throttle steer it…

LS1 was 100% the right choice…engine runs cool…its not stressed…has gobs of torque and power…and has tons of upgradability…

Adam

Adam would not be stupid enough to run on dunville…POS track.
As the say goes: first time you go, you didn’t know…second time you go, you’re stupid.

Good work on getting it all up and running!

You should post some in-car/drive-by videos and maybe put a thread or something together on the install details/pics etc (unless I missed anything).

Again, good stuff…enjoy it! 🙂

i got no problem with dunnville, but i dont have any perspective on how technical other courses are. I wouldnt be surprised is Dunnville is not very exciting for peoples with competitive experience.

Yeah dunnville is a pretty small track but it still is fun.

Andrew, what’s wrong with dunnville? I wouldn’t know any better since it’s the only track i’ve been to. The drag strip wouldn’t count of course.

I was indifferent based on last years experiences, that fact that it was a airport and is super flat everywhere, takes a lot of fun out of calculating a line in the split seconds when approaching a turn.

nonetheless; wholey enjoyable

but as for the 570sx, a full photo shoot would interest me, don’t really care about the condition (superficial) of the car, moreso all the custom work

cost was about 12k in total…so a bit higher than expected…however I used all new parts.

so far…it only has an intake headers and 3 inch single exhaust…

future mods? there are tons you can do… LS1’s with intake manifold and mild cams put out over 400rwhp…

car is twitchy as it is…I have to get larger tires on it before i get any more power.

yes fuel system is my turbo fuel system, which was rated to over 600hp+, and used the turbo system Rad that I had.

After going on it yesterday, I dunno if you’re just trying to scare people off or just being ignorant.

It’s been a while since I went on Shannonville (never on TMP) but I really liked the Dunnville track and I look forward to going on it again.

Bumpy? I dunno about that.

theres only one bump that actually worthy of taking in to consideration in your driving line/style and that is the one which is right on the exit of turn 4 going on to the long straight. if you are bombing that corner really hard the bump can get the back end to lighten up a little bit.

aside from that, there are some bumps between turns 11 and 12 which would be the hard 90 degree and then the big sweeper. its a bit bumpy in there but its a generally low speed corner so it doesn’t affect too much.
