# Review of my new computer....

It sucks balls. I seriously think its slower than my old one. It seems to be a RAM problem (It only came with 256MB PC2700 DDR), so I ordeded a 512MB stick to throw in. We’ll see if that helps out.

You can try the RAM… otherwise, shut it down when you aren’t using it.

well, I downloaded a system optomizer last night and it has a Memory optomizer that tells you how much RAM you are using and how much you have left. Routinely I drop down to ~30MB and thats when it really seems to choke up. I really think its the RAM. 512 more oughta perk it up. $35 from Newegg :bowdown:

RAM sgould help…but the main reason they are slower are bus speed & caching.
pentiums have a lot more instruction cache space then a celeron.

im not saying that the optimizer is doing much, but it does give a constant reading on how much free RAM is available in the System Tray. And its getting REALLY low, so it obviously needs more RAM. I really think that will bring this thing to life. If not, it was only $350 bucks.
