Yea… in order for that to function effectively, it really can’t be enclosed that way. I mean, there was an MR2 that had a similar dealy, but that one had a rocket motor, not a jet turbine, so it didn’t need an intake.
With this one, I see two problems… one, it won’t make a whole shitload of thrust, two…it’ll pull the driver into the intake and dice him/her to pieces.

Well, I’m pretty sure whoever did it, did it mostly for the shock & awe factor than anything else. Jet turbines work based on mass flow and exhaust velocity. You can’t really get much if any massflow in an enclosed environment like that. Maybe if he took out his windshield, then I could see stuff happening… but then he’d need to rip out the rear window too, and it still would have problems. Yup, definitely just for shock & awe.

I read the story about this car a while back - its completely street legal and the guy drives it work on the motor. I don’t remember how fast it is - but its fast as fuc k

well the guy was saying he opens the roof and windows and it seems to work well enough.

It’s street legal due to a law of omission lol. Nobody thought that anyone would ever think of it, so they didn’t make it illegal.
